Developed by the CMAA Contract Administration Committee as a detailed expansion of the contract administration section of the CM Standards of Practice.  This Manual addresses the administrative and reporting requirements for the Construction Manager (CM) during the execution of construction projects. It is intended to supplement Chapter 6, contract administration, of the CMAA's Construction Management Standards of Practice by providing an overview of the  contract administration responsibilities on a typical project from concept to occupancy. Most projects have a unique set of contract administration requirements because of specific project characteristics, such as project type –(airports, transit & healthcare facilities, courthouses, and bridges).   Other project characteristics such as geographical location, union issues, congested urban sites, language, currency rates, require that the CM implement appropriate contract administration measures to address all of these issues.
